Our special Lucuma Ice-cream: “Dama Inca”

Lucuma is a fruit native to the Andes mountains of South America. Lucuma is often described as having a flavor that is a combination of sweet potato, maple syrup, and butterscotch.

Lucuma has been cultivated for centuries by the indigenous people of the Andes, and it is considered to be a sacred fruit. As it is said to have many health benefits, we have created our artisanal ice-cream of this special fruit, in collaboration with the Belgian ice-cream company Glaces Poland and available only at La Gorda Cocina Peruana.

We dedicated this dessert in honour to our beloved Cecilia, co-owner of Sabe a Perú, Madrid, who is no longer with us, but this dessert makes her present.
